Just got this lens today:
It's the Sigma 24-135mm f/2.8-4.5
I'm lovin' it! Of course, it could have been a beat up old 70's model with a crack in it.. and I'd probably love it. New stuff is always cool.

Hey congrats,
I see you are using a prop to prop up the lens as well.
I've a battery grip on my camera so I use a little pillow to rest the lens so it doesn't rest on the ground as well. ha ha.

Nice..
That'll make a good allrounder, and it reviews quite well, so you should be happy with the image quality as well.
What do you think of the build quality? I looked at this (eos mount, obviously) as a walk-around and a couple of reviews I found didn't like the build...
Cheers, Me.

Build quality is very typically Sigma.. it's not as strong as a Nikkor, Canon, or Pentax build would be, but it's very solid nonetheless. Very slightly sticky between 100mm and 80mm in the zoom range, but nothing that's going to give me problems.. (and nothing like the 200mm to 300mm range on my sigma 70-300mm.. which is just about brutal). Like most Sigmas though, I think every lens has a slightly different build.. as their QC is legendarily iffy.
