Does it say anywhere a timeline that the photo had to be taken in?

I was looking for this as well, but it doesnt look like there is a date requirement, so long as you took it with your Rebel or Rebel XT.

"The Contest will commence on March 29, 2005 at 12pm Pacific Time (PT) and end on June 30, 2005 12pm PT (the “Contest Period”)."
This was in the rules, but it doens't clearly state that the pictures must be taken within these dates. I don't know if that is what they mean.

In the 6th paragraph of the rules it states the size the photo has to be, but what about editing? Does it have to be directly out of the camera?

I don't know about that but here's the previous contest winners. It's a Canon sponsered contest so I would think direct out of the camera would be best. |

It says this: " In addition, montages and composite images are ineligible. The Entry must be from a single capture with the Canon EOS Digital Rebel."
And then it says: "Entries must be captured with an EOS Digital Rebel or an EOS Digital Rebel XT and submitted in the baseline JPEG recording format."
Anyone have an idea what they mean by "baseline JPEG" ???? |

Actually UK has the best photo contest, especially in their magazines. UK photozines rule, but expensive :( |

Just noticed the contest today unfortunately. Weird that I surfed over to the Canon site. |

The rules state:
"Entries that have been previously published or won a prize in any other contest are ineligible."
Does that mean you can't enter something that won a ribbon on DPC? |

I guess I killed this thread. ;) But does anyone want to hazard an opinion or guess whether a DPC "ribbon" would count as a prize to make an entry ineligible?
I am trying to decide what photo to enter for landscapes. I would do my Triangles entry if that qualifies (though it won a ribbon), or I could enter Autumn Tapestry, or my Lighting entry... |

wouldnt it be amusing if one of you won the challenge, and later confessed that you took the photo using only a webcam? Sure puts Canon out of business, I say. |

Note: according to the rules, the contest ended 30 minutes ago. 12:00pm PST. I think I missed my entry, I got it in around 3:15 my time, 12:15 pm PST. That's what I get for waiting till the last minute. |
