I'm not actually ranting here, but I do want to understand what the heck I did wrong to be DQd. I didn't move a major element. I worked on the center section with Hue/Sat, inverting, radial blur, and WITHIN that secion I cloned out some color. Those small pixels (for that is all we are talking about) are not a major portion of the photo.
I don't want to get DQd again, so can someone point out what I did wrong?

You have to reload the picture for others to see it. It's still part of the Challenge and won't show up until it's over.

In your submitted photo, There was a tree trunk that lead to a very nicely colored swirled section of background. Was that highly colored swirled 'portal' in your original photo? The 'portal' you created was considered to be a major element by the site council. And actually, was the title of your photo, so it must have been a pretty major element for you as well. The fact that that 'portal' was NOT in your original was the deciding factor on your DQ.
More clarification...using ANY filter to create, delete of move major elements in a photo is illegal. Hope this helps. |

What a shame, papagei. I loved that photo - it was one of my top picks. Sorry about the DQ; I look forward to seeing your work in other challenges. |

Thanks guys. You have lifted my spirits. I did email a member of the SC and found that it was the radial blur because it created something which was not there. All the other editing would have been ok. |
