I'm trying to find a good wide angle lens to go on my rebel xt

I've narrowed it down to 4 choices

1. Sigma 15mm diagonal fisheye

2. Sigma 14mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical HSM (or maybe the canon of the same if it's not more expensive)

3. Sigma 15-30 mm F3.5-4.5 EX DG aspherical

4. Tokina Zoom Super Wide Angle AF 12-24mm f/4

I just can't decide I like that the primes here have that extra brightness but I'd like to have some zoom to make up the difference between wide angle and my 50mm

and how is the 'fishyness' of the sigma 15mm diagonal fisheye I've seen shots made with it and can't see the distortion I also like how short the lens is (is it also a bit lighter?)

or if any of these lenses have any major flaws maybe I could eliminate one or 2

btw I can't afford the Canon 10-22 right now.. maybe later but not right now

I have and really would recommend the Tokina.

a 15 mm fisheye on a 1.6 crop camera loses almost all distortion. It would still be the widest of all those lenses though.

If you want a fisheye and like the distortion your only choice with canon is to get the 8mm sigma or peleng circular fisheye.

I actually was looking at the peleng but I want a regular wide angle for everyday use

I'm a great fan of the 15mm fisheyes, as you can tell. There is still a fair amount of "fishiness" if you get straight lines near the edges of the frame, especially right and left, but you can certainly minimize it if desired. The FoV is about equivalent to an 11mm rectilinear lens on the 1.6-crop cams. Do consider the Canon version as well as the Sigma, it is really a great optical performer.
I don't feel as affectionate about any of Canon's rectilinear WA offerings, probably why I own a Tamron (older 19-35). The Tamron is little-used, though, I prefer to work with the fish, or the longer 24-70L zoom.

I see you've got the Tokina 12-24 on your list. Has anyone compared this to the Sigma 12-24?

I want it to be fairly fast too that's why I think the tokina would be a little more to my tastes f4 throughout the zoom rather than 4.5-5.6 that the sigma has

Or you could wait and see how the new Sigma 10-20 turns out (B&H has it listed at $469):
10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM

If you look at Popular Photography's evals, the Tokina has higher SQF scores than the Sigma 12-24.
