I'm getting extremely annoyed with the selective/7-point focus on my 300d. Does the 300d/300d kit lens have an infinite focus setting? And if so, how do you set it? I've been looking for the past week to find an answer and always come up short...

I'm willing to bet there is without even looking it up. It would be silly to not have infinity focus on any lens... but you almost shouldn't use infinity focus. you can put the lens in MF and move it to infinity manually if you really need to. I am not sure however if the lens focuses past infinity like some lenses do.
