This is as much a hardware question as it is software. . .
I wondering what printers, and profiles people are using. I'm assuming 'most' people are using Photoshop. What profile are you using there? What profile do you have set up on your given printer? Are you happy with your printer's performance? Do your colors on your printer, match those on your screen?

Don't forget to include monitor calibration in the formula for getting your images on screen to match those in print.
I don't have the hardware for calibration but have been lucky so far with getting prints to match what shows on the screen. I use the Adobe 1998 profile in PS and the default printer profile. I have a canon printer and am using canon matte paper. If I start using non-canon paper then I would have to determine the best profile to get accurate results.

I use PS with profile generated by SpectroPRO2 from colorivision, for the price it's been a magnificient investment. |
