I just picked up what I believe will be my last roll of film ever. Now that I've moved into digital with an SLR in addition to my point and shoot, the Elan has been retired. The 300D is alot of fun and I can't wait for the 30D so I can move a bit up the ladder. Downloading shots into the computer sure beats scanning them in.
Funny thing, I dropped off the roll (which was actually sitting in my camera for a few weeks) on Wednesday for 24 hr processing. Wouldn't you know when I went to pick it up on Friday they said the bag it was in accidentally sent back to the lab with the driver and it wouldn't get back until Sunday. I just won't miss that...
Well maybe a roll of Velvia or two at foliage time |

yea about a year ago i thought i shot my last film. was quite wrong about that. I shoot more film now after I got digital stuff, I still use the digital too, but the differences become a lot clearer when u have them both. |

digital, if anything, has gotten me more into film photography...
I am probably going to buy my own (previously been using others) film camera this summer!

I still shoot some 35mm from time to time. But, I really have enjoyed not carrying so much stuff around. I think the texture of film is still best but, I don't think I would have gotten this shot with my film cameras. This was just a powershot Pro 1 but, the immediate feedback sure helps.

I had an Olympus ZLR film camera.
It was nice, but since it was costly to learn photography and the feedback is slow, it never got me into photography.
About 4 years ago, I bought a refurbished Nikon coolpix p&s, and since then never touched film again.
Immediate feedback, nearly no cost per photo, and I can print only the ones I want (from home if I want to).
Digital technology has made what photography should have been all along, relatively cheap and fun with instant gratification.
