I've tried looking around for this information but I haven't found any situations that seem to match mine.
I have had my 300D since december now, and it has never had any problems. Just yesterday I installed the Wasia hack, and when I went out to use it that night, the camera slowly froze up.
It started with just a lag in responce time, and after a couple seconds nothing would respond. I turned it off/on again and it worked fine. At that time I was shooting in Av mode.
It happened again twice today while I was out shooting. Both times this time I was shooting in P mode, and to fix the problem (both times) I just switched the mode-dial from P to Auto and back to P again.
The weather was very warm so it would not have been cold causing this, and I have not changed any of the settings yet in the Custom Functions added by Wasia. I am going to re-install the original Canon firmware to see if the problem goes away, but has anybody else hear of/experienced this same issue?
I have also heard issues that it can be related to the batteries but I don't thing this is the case. I use the battery grip and have been for the last few weeks and have not had any problems at all untill yesterday.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Which version did you install? I've never heard of this, and mine never locks up. Perhaps you should go back to the original drivers or try a different version.

I installed the last version of Wasia. I'll probably try the latest of the Undutchables next if the problem goes away when I revert back to the original firmware.

I've the hack and never had that problem. Why don't you try redownloading the hack, reset the camera, then reload it again?
Also, make sure the screw that tightens the grip to the camera is tight, as loose fitting can intermittently cause power interuptions.

I reinstalled the 1.1.1 canon firmware, and took my camera out shooting for almost 6 hours straight today without this problem (got an Err 99 once, but I think that was my fault). It was the Wasia B7.1 hack that I had originally installed my camera, and appears to be the source of the camera freezing up. Not sure why/what caused this, but I'm going to try out the UnDutchables v0.2.3 next to see if that works any better.
