Hi all,
Finally got a chance to take my new Rebel outdoors for a couple of shots (raining all week!) and was excited to see this shot in my LCD display - but when I uploaded it I noticed the bright white area from the sun in the midde of the photo - does this ruin the whole photo? If so, does the photo merit trying to clone it out or is it too big of an area or based on the overall photo, not worth it.
Thanks, bj

You've got a slightly blown area there in the middle, and it's a little dark around the edges, but I bet you could fix it up. If you've got PS CS, try the "shadows/highlights" adjustment for a quick fix. |

Also, be careful with this image. Parts of it could infringe on a copyright held by the Bear.

Wow - that's a spectacular shot!! I will try to fix mine up - have to log off - more thunder/lighting storms! It figures - I actually took this week off to play with my new camera and learn it, and wouldn't you know it has rained for the last 7 days straight! lol

I would not worry about the shot. This is a easy shot to duplicate. Get the old sprinklers out. Take alot of shots. Have fun. |

No luck in Photoshop elements, (still learning it), so I went out and took another photo when the rain stopped. I didn't like the background, so played around with render - lighting effects and came up with this. I really like it, but would only be good at 4x6 which is fine for a greeting card. Anyone care to say if this looks good or not?
thanks, bj

Thunderstorms and Rain? Great possibilities there. Grab an umbrella, and a friend to hold the umbrella, and shoot away. If all else fails, work through an open window (not the one where the rain is coming in).
Have fun!
