Any suggestions for a free DVD Copying software, to "Legally" back-up my dvd's?
Someone has mentioned DVD Shrink, I own Nero, so I think that would burn the image after DVD Shrink ripped it..
Anyother suggestions?

I use DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Both work great. Also both will interface with your Nero product without any problems. JMHO.

Do I need both?
Do they always work hand in hand?

You only need one of them, I use DVD Shrink and Nero. It works great and you can remove want you don't like or need... language tracks, extras, menus... etc... |

I have XP sp2, will I need to install any ASPI Layers or additional Codecs? |

Yes, I would get both. Why? Well for starters they are both free and I've needed to use DVD Decrypter on some DVD's with stronger encryption. For the most part you'll only use DVD Shrink.
DVD Decryter is "harder" to use but like I said you'll only need to use it once in a while. DVD Shrink is easy to use and is the program you'll be using mostly. JMHO.
