how to DELETE a dpchallenge account?
I have an old inactive account with dpchallenge back in 2003 that I wish to delete off permanently. I would like to destroy my past and start anew. Is it possible? thank you |

| Your best option would be to contact the admins via the Contact option under Help on the menu bar. |

I can not tell you. I also have an account I want deleted that I registured in 2003. I could not remember the password and could not get a reply requesting email so I had to create another account when I returned to the site in 2004. I email the Admin's and asked that the account be deleted but never got a reply.
If someone know's please let me know or if SC see's this please have this account deleted.

SC cannot delete accounts. And accounts with 'activity' cannot be deleted at all. Michhy, what is the other account you have? If you have posted photos with that account, I highly suggest using that account and NOT using Michhy, since holding multiple accounts is against the rules, expecially if you have submitted photos under both names.
'starting over' isn't an option.

then i suppose i'll have to leave. so what should i do to terminate THIS account now? omg... I'm in such a bad situation. So sorry!
Reasons for deleting old account:
I have submissions in it which i do not wish to see, or wish to destroy. i would not use that account again. if i'm breaking rules by creating this second account, I'm sorry. I guess my option is leaving dpchallenge. admins, pls remove THIS account as well, since there are no submissions and i wont be coming back, and also since i cant stand to see my old account still standing. Thanks all for a wonderful website.

IANAL, but there should be an option for users to request removal of their personal information.. i.e. delete an account.
If the concern is about not wanting to recalculate challenge results everytime someone leaves - you could always reassign those photographs to a default user account e.g. 'anonoymous'.

You should not turn your back on your past, it's what's created your present.
I would rather look at my work here and let people see how far I have come, and additionally provide encouragement for others that may be 'struggling' than delete it all.
Just my opinion

Ok, then please excuse my ignorance, I can only suggest to write to the administrators and tell them your situation, maybe they can find a solution.
