Before the end of the Framed challenge, my average vote received was 5.09.
It is not 5.015.
My Framed entry got a 5.72.
Should not the average have gone up? Or does it figure in the other current challenges - my Construction shot is at 4.65.
The small print under the stats box says the stats are computed after midnite on mondays and wednesdays...so I would think it would include competed challenges only and since it is not yet midnite on Monday, the numebr should still be 5.09.

It is calculated like this. Or atleast that how I have it in my spreed sheet and it equal out every time.
1. You have to take every Challenge and multiply Votes Received by Average Vote Received. It will give you a huge number. Say you receive 250 votes and scored 5.000 that would equal 1250. So now you have the two variables needed to figure out your Average vote received overall.
You have to get that large number from every challenge.
So if you entered 5 challenges and the following was true:
1. 200 Votes - 5.000 Avg. = 1000
2. 250 Votes - 5.500 Avg. = 1375
3. 150 Votes - 4.800 Avg. = 720
4. 350 Votes - 5.600 Avg. = 1960
5. 300 votes - 6.000 Avg. = 1800
Vote Total = 6855
divided by
Total Votes= 1250
equals
Overall Avg= 5.484
So if you are scoring lower than your average, hope for the least votes as possible. If you are scoring higher than you average, hope for more votes. To give you an example take the same above and add just 50 votes to the lowest challenge score and see what happens.
1. 200 Votes - 5.000 Avg. = 1000
2. 250 Votes - 5.500 Avg. = 1375
3. 200 Votes - 4.800 Avg. = 960
4. 350 Votes - 5.600 Avg. = 1960
5. 300 votes - 6.000 Avg. = 1800
Vote Total = 7095
divided by
Total Votes= 1300
equals
Overall Avg= 5.477
Those 50 extra votes on a low average drops your overall average by .007

AHA!
That might explain it...but i'll have to go and check that out before i go to bed tonite you know.
Might explain why my avg jumped a lot at the last challenge (from just under 5 to 5.09 - i thought that to a large jump for just one challenge)
