My first attempt at taking a picture of a dog. Any opinions/critique?
His name is Baxter, he is a maltese cross terrier and very cute. :)

thanks scott. I actually didnt crop it, it is this close but all the other ones i have of him are too far away. I made it black and white because in the colour version, he has a strange blue tinge in his eyes. I didnt like it.
Thank you
anyone else?

in a b/w like this, this dog is just begging to be white - i think it adds more impact to the done whereas right now the pillow is the brightest spot and draws some attention.. - sorry if you didn't want retakes, but i'm procrastinating/avoiding studying right now so i went ahead and did one.. just used the lazy man's levels/curves in PS (shadow/highlight) to boost his whites a bit - then a slight sharpening.

i may have pushed it too much, since i don't really like the reflections in the eyes and had to clone out one from the nose :(
