My friend Colette took these two pictures on a recent trip to Ireland. She cannot remember the name of the castle ruins, so help us out if you know. The first picture shows the empty window. Notice the position of the bird above the castle. The second picture shows what she says was the a female ghost wearing a long flowing green dress. The third is the same shot as taken. Notice again the position of the bird above the castle. The time difference in these two shots was the time required for the bird to fly from one side to the other. I lightened this up in photoshop and it truely appears to be a woman in the window. My friend went all around and through the ruins. No one was there. SPOOKY.

Being a ghost hunter myself, I'm always interested in these sort of pictures. I can, however, pretty much disprove the account of a ghost in the second picture.
If you look at both pictures, the first one is taken at a lower angle than the second two. To me, it looks as if the second and third pictures were taken at such an angle to see through the window to a crumbling part of the back of the castle.
If this isn't correct, or if she has pictures of the backside of the castle, please let me know.

I'm a firm believer of the paranormal and really love ghostly images.
However, your friend's story about the chronology of the two images doesn't "fly" with me. My first thought was "That far away, one bird flying can look just like another; and the same bird could have settled and re-flown, or just been flying around for an extended time."
The clouds have moved a great deal between the two pictures (much more than possible in the time it takes for a flying bird to cover that distance). Is it possible that your friend was partaking too much of that country's great treasure, Guiness?
Just kidding. It's a beautiful photograph, ghost or no ghost. |

don't buy that this is a ghost....the first image and the second image are off....the photographer had taken a few steps to her left and the back of the building, what appears to be the remains from the other side of the castle that had appeared through the window. However, is does have an outline of person...have fun with your photos, thats a good thing.
I have also taken a few shots of a old castle with this likeness...I do know how things change and how one would seek the best perspective of the object that they shoot. As in these photo show, how one thing can look different as you move your camera and shoot. Nothing less, nothing more. |

I do not have copies of the pictures of the back of the castle, but I did see them. The only portion of the castle standing behind this wall is part of this wall itself and is well below the level of the window. She had pictures all around. I also saw these pictures in camera before they were ever downloaded. Whatever she has here it is no intentional hoax, and is not a piece of the back of the castle. Has anyone tried to see more of this close up? I will see what I can get to show you. |

The Guiness thing is a distinct possibility! |

Here is the best I can do with a close up. Looks like a pregnant woman looking up and left in a green dress with outstretched arms and braided hair down her back (on the right side). But thats just me . . . .

Can't a crossdresser lurk around castle ruins these days without causing an uproar?
