Question on "Warm" Polarizers
I like the deeper more saturated feel of the "warm" polarizers. But what trying to purchase one is extremely confusing.
a) The prices range from $118 - $200 - $335, that's a pretty wide range. Is there that much difference between the HOYA ==> B+W ==> Heliopan? Does HOYA flat out suck? But at a $100+ for a filter can it suck? In truth the HOYA is probably the only one in my budget at the moment. But if it's sub-par than I am better off waiting and buying a better quality. Okay, the Heliopan is just "unrealistic" for me. So that leaves the B+W. Now I am TOTALLY confused!!!!
They have 4 versions of the "warm" polarizer. Um...and sure I read in a book that a reduces x amount of UV light, and b reduces y amount of UV light, and c reduces z amount of UV light. But what's this mean in real life? Is there a site that compares them? Or is the moose good enough?

Unless you shoot in very adverse conditions (water, dust) you certainly do not need the "Kaesemann" version.
The Heliopan and B+W filters are IMO pretty equivalent in optical quality. The Hoyas are not quite as good (I recently changed from a Hoya to a B+W, and there is a definite, though slight, difference).
I don't really understand why you'd buy a "warm" version. Buy the neutral version, and adjust warmth in post, or by setting a custom white balance in the field. Best practice, IMO, is to shoot in RAW with a color balance that produces neutral grays, and adjust for warmer tones as desired in RAW conversion.

I have to move into RAW editing. My laptop is out of hard disk space and I have to ship it off for a power supply repair. In which case, I don't know if they will fix or replace the unit. No point in upgrading the hard drive if they're going to just replace the unit.
