Tamron SP Autofocus 24-135mm f/3.5-5.6 AD

Does anyone have any experience with this lens?
I think I'd like to buy it, and fred miranda gives it good reviews.
This *is* compatible with dSLRs, right? (I hate asking this question, but I feel like I should probably make sure.)

I've heard good things about the Tamron. Personally, I went with Sigma's version, because of the larger aperature:

Sigma 24-135mm f/2.8 - 4.5

Just bought it tonight!!

Check out popular photography's review of it online. They seem to feel that it's a good lens.

Anyone else use this? I am hearing good things, and may get this lens over the 28-75mm Tamron.
