| My daughter got her photos back from Walmart on a CD and they had put them in a custom slide show. Can anybody tell me an easy way to do this for my clients? Some people don't know how to use their slideshow capabilities on the computer, so I thought providing them a slideshow on a CD similar to Walmart's would be nice for them. Walmart's has music, which was nice too, but not a necessity. |

| Oops, I should have said, how can I make a slide show. The title looks like I have advice, ---that will be the day. Sorry guys. Anybody know how to edit thread titles? |

You can't edit them, only SC can.
As far as slideshows, I use ACDSee to make them - it makes an exe so the person doesn't need software to watch it, just a PC. :) As far as music goes, I think the standard is Pro Show Gold.

My advice is to put it on a DVD. Lots of home DVD players will have issues with CDs made this way.
I have tried a few programs, and settled on ProShow Gold. $70. ProShow will let you record to CDs, if needed.
Microsoft has Photo Story 3 for free. It's more intuitive to use than PSG, but the ouput quality is not as good, and often requires downloading of codecs & updates to Windows Media Player before the user can view the video. I haven't used it to record to DVD, so can't comment on that. |

| Nero also has a program for creating a slide show. If you have a DVD burner this program may very well have come with it. |

Aronya 1, DVD sounds interesting, So, if I burn the images to a DVD using ProShow software, do I automatically get the kind of layout that you get with movies? I mean a directory and all? Are you saying I should maybe get a DVD burner for my computer? Sorry, I am being so slow. Haven't had much experience with the DVD world or video in general.
Mavrik, I will check out your suggestion too, I like to look at all my options.

If you have windows XP part of the system in the UK is Microsoft Movie Maker.
If you load the images into this you can put them into a slideshow and use different transitions and put music to them, titles the lot.
