Ok, I admit it, I am THICK !!*%$$*@@%
In the forums, sometimes you see in a post where someone refers to a certain dpc member, the name is in blue and you can click on it and it takes you to their profile page....how is that done?
I've read the tutorial on it, but...I'm thick...
I'm using the hyperlink button and typing in the address from the properties of the user, but when I click on it to check my post, it takes me to my profile???

taterbug's link
Wanted to make sure it worked, first.
1. Go to users profile page.
2. Highlight the address in the browser bar
3. Ctrl C for copy
4. In the forum post box, click on the icon with the globe
5. Ctrl V for paste
6. "ok"
7. Type in "taterbug's link" or whatever is appropriate
8. o.k.
This is how I did it...there may be other, more elegant, ways. You can also see why I like to have multiple tabs or windows open...lots of running around to ge my link.

Sorry. Took me awhile to type.
If you pretend to quote my post then you'll be able to see the code...just in case you prefer typing it all out.

Open 2 windows/tabs. One with the profile you want to link to, one with the notepad.
edited to say... LOL I'm too slow, beaten by KaDi and Ken :))

Just remember to link your own profile information you can't goto your profile and copy / past whats in your address bar. It will not have the ...USER_ID=19831 information if you are logged in. If you copy/past that that url (//www.dpchallenge.com/profile.php) it will send everyone to there own profile page, not yours.
To get your profile info goto Community > Photographer Profiles > put in your user name and click search. It will come up a link to your profile click it and you will see your complete profile link. Copy / past from address bar and you now have a link to your profile and follow the above instructions provided by other users above.

Well, you won't get DQ'd, but you will be voted down. And perhaps your village will be burned. :P
