I just wanted to say that I am very proud at this photo. I put a 8x10 matted, framed and signed print of this up at a local cafe and it sold within 12 hours for $100.

This one took about 2 weeks but also went for $100 which was also framed, matted and signed:

I wasn't sure people would be willing to spend that much for a print but it makes me very happy that other people are enjoying my work as much as I am making it...

Good luck everyone and enjoy yourself...

Excellent, I tried a very similar shot in april, very difficult to get right, ( I failed miserably ) and some very strange looks as I was grovelling on the promenade at Southport :)

Thanks everyone... I feel like I am finally getting somewhere with this whole "taking pictures" thing. Got a long way to go though. Thanks again...

Just wondering what kind of neighborhood the cafe is in? I wonder if a nicer part of town would help sales especially at a higher price point?

Its just in a small cafe in the town that I live in. Mostly a middle class town. I have been thinking about starting to expand to other places but just trying to start out slow for now. This is pretty much for fun right now so I don't want to interfere too much with my current job.

By the way, your photos are really great. When I get a chance I am going to have to take a closer work at your photos. Think I see another favorite photographer in the horizon...

LOL - Just kidding!
Congrats - has to to make you feel like a million bucks (or 200 anyway)

One of these days I am going to do that, but promise I'll stay local...
