This morning I received the following offer from SDW65:
Originally posted by SDW65: I pledge $0.25 per comment received during the voting period on any of my challenge entries between June 7, and September 25, 2005 up to a maximum of $100US. I will be doing this in conjunction with offering profits from my prints [if I sale any]. I have a large mayo jar on my computer desk. Every time I receive a comment on a picture I have submitted to a challenge while the voting period is going on I will drop a Quarter into the jar. I will try to submit to as many challenges as possible between the upcoming challenge through the challenge starting on 9/25/05. If my math is correct that will be 31 challenges unless DPC throws a challenge or two in-between. |
I think this is a great idea, so much so that I'm going to do it too! I will also donate 25¢ per comment received up to a maximum of $250 US. This will apply to comments received during the voting phase of any challenge eligible to be voted on between now and September 30, 2005.
Thanks again Scott, this is a great idea, and very generous!
Would anyone else like to get in on this?
Thanks!
-Terry

If you see something in my folio or challenge entries and you want a print, PM me and I'll add it.

This is a fantastic idea. I support this fully and will make my best effort to comment even more!
What a great idea, not only does it benefit your charities, but I'll wager it'll be better for the DPC community as a whole.
Let me figure some things out about a direct donation - can you post a link in this thread for that? |

Absolutely!
The link is also visible in my signature (if you have signatures turned on) and in my profile.
Thanks!

Thanks Terry for posting. I did not get to enter this challenge [Construction] because my Uncle had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital due to health problems last night. He is stable but will be going through several tests tomorrow. Everyone please keep him in your thoughts.
Since I was not able to enter the challenge I am taking my average comments received over the 36 challenges that I have entered since joining this community and placing that in my jar for this challenge. I have an average comment received during challenges of 9.08 x $0.25 = $2.27, round up to $2.50. So even though I did not enter the jar is at $2.50.
