I knew there'd be a challenge like this (or maybe a humor challenge) after I took this picture on Sunday morning.

I have no choice - I have lived near Baltimore most of my life. :) I have avoided the accent though... :)

My wife is from Baltimore (perry hall, near white marsh). I being from Pittsburgh hear the accent (her dad's family especially) but she does not. we discuss it every time we visit.

Poe wrote abota Raven, not a crow i beleive. Hence the name for the football team there.

Took this of a turkey vulture last Thursday...

Wonder if all the birds I like to shoot will disappear this week when I really want them!

me too....too early.

Love birds though and don't mind taking some more of birds :) Especially with my new 170-400 Sigma Lens that I bought myself this month :)

Birds. . .sigh..
Everytime I leave town and intend to bring my camera a challenge comes up that has nothing to do with where I'm going and what I'll be doing.
Then all the pictures I do take are perfect for the next challenge and my photos will be too early and can't be re-shot. This has happened to us all I bet.

I think Riot is going for the blue in this one!!!

I went to the zoo after my second exam today and took about 207 pictures. I was satisfied with about 18 of them, and then narrowed it down to three (well, two really. One I just like and I don't think I'd ever submit it.). Here are the outtakes.

Nearly submitted this one, but the one that I've submitted won out

I couldn't get the bird to look sideways, so I just snapped the picture (with my macro lens) and the DOF was right on his eyes. Little bugger.
