been experimenting with my lenses and camera since I have it a few weeks ago. Went to a park for a familly ride today and managed to get these shots. Any good?

I like the first one the best. It has very good contrast and textures to it. The third would be better if we could see more of the face of the bird, but still a decent shot for an object in motion. :-)

yup, I like the first one best too :-) Good clarity on all of the images!

Thanks Elizabeth and Jennifer. Actually the third one is the most acceptable of a dozen of bird shots I made today. I guess my 70-300mm APO is just not enough lens for birds... or I'm not enough photographer a this time but a time will come... My personnal favorite is the second one?

Cropped. Blurred the background and foreground (to simulate a shallower depth of field), then I dodged and burned to emphasize the points of interest (road & fence). Little bit of curves. Trying to take the viewer's eye on a trip through the image, ie. down the road.
