Hey Tom, what photos did our tour guide pick? Did they like the photo's we took or do they want a reshoot :). I can use the practice with portraitures. Sorry that the trip was a bust.

Raul,
I haven't heard from them yet, so I don't know. Sorry.
As for having my pics on the web.

I am loading my pics up as we speak.
I think you can view a large sized file to view but cannot download the pics.

well, my friend from Boston is coming to hang with me for 7/4. He is going to use his new Canon 20D/battery pack with Tamron 28-75, Sigma 50mm Macro, and 70-200 f4L. We plan on shooting fireworks, vazquez rocks, downtown LA/Olvera/Union Street, and more. I'll definately post a lot more afterwards. You're free to join us to shoot if you like.
Meanwhile, I'm hoping my bigma gets here soon.
And also remeber, Pasadena Sidewalk Artfare is 6/25-6/26, see last years shots at my site if anyone is interested.

Arie,
Went through your online photos as well. The size of the photos are a bit small but I can see a gradual improvement as you get to the newer phots. Interesting.
Well, I guess my addictive personality is taking over again...
I've updated my website. Look for new pics there.

well, I guess I'm done buying lenses finally.
I've the Digma and the Tamron 17-35. I've taken a few shots to see how they are and they are really nice lenses. They all fit in my bag too, kinda.
I'll post some test shots on yido.smugmug.com with original size available to view.

I'm gonna shoot it with the Digma. Between 80-800mm, I otta get a decent compostion. Who said you have to shoot sunsets with a wideangle. You just wanna manhandle my Tokina again, or the Tamron, don't you???
:)
OH, the Digma shots are up now.

Brian,
I just looked over your photo blog. You are quiet a lanscape/nature photographer.
Nice shots.

Why, thank you :) I never really noticed that I take mostly nature/landscapes until you just mentioned that.. I knew that I liked them, but actually thought I had no direction.. haha, I guess that's not necessarily the case! Or maybe it's just that it's easier to get shots of a pretty landscape than creating interesting shots from the mundane (which I really hope to work on - hopefully with that macro whenever it gets here!).
Your lenses look impressive- congrats on the new purchases! Now, if that Bigma was only white, you could draw even more attention to yourself ;)

Man oh man, the Digma is wonderful, I can finally agree with those who state that using the Sigma 50-500mm really makes photography fun. The 10x zoom from 50-500mm really makes photography much more fun. And I didn't even mind the weight of the lens either. Very sharp, good colors, and fast focusing. Today was overcast, so unfortunately most of the shots were ISO 400 and higher. Even used ISO 3200 today. I can't wait to use it in a real sunny location.

Hi all. I am so excited getting my new Digital Rebel XT yesterday and drove to Santa Monica beach to test out the camera. I am a little bit confused here. Is this the "meet-up" thread or not? Shooting photos with a group of photographers will be a lot of fun for me.

Hi, this is not a meet up thread, we have those under the "Out and About" section. However, we do talk about our outings here often. But under the Out and About forum section, we talk about specific outings.
