As corny as that title sounds I realized how much I really want to become a wedding photographer. I'm only 19 and I don't have have any experience doing anything like that. I know you guys here are all really smart and successful and I just really want to know how I start. All I have is my little sony cybershot and I have a film SLR camera but that's all I've got.
I just really want some advice on how to get started. I'm willing to do things for free and everything. Just tell me what to do :)

Maybe you could start out as an assistant to an established wedding photographer. Carry around his stuff etc. You'll get an idea on how it's done.
I think the best way to start would be to take some photographs on a relative's wedding. If they like your pictures, they might recommend you to others.
I'd not be too optimistic though. It's hard to convince people that you're a good photographer if all you have is a point&shoot camera.
