I discovered that taking a photo of your own eye is not so easy! I'm using June to have a theme for my PaD gallery, and the theme is "Grateful" I'm taking photos representing things in my everyday life I'm grateful for. I thought I'd like to do one for "sight" and I've seen so many eyeball shots, I thought I'd try it.

I ended up going the bright/graphics looking type of shot, due to the focus not being spot on and my 40 something skin around the eye looking less than pleasing! I think doing theme of some sort will make coming up with ideas for the PaD much easier!

Looks good, Judy. I've been trying to get some good eye shots since I got my camera. Tried my wife's my son's, mine, my dogs - very hard to get it right. Getting better though, the more I learn about the camera settings and lighting.

Good idea about the themes, too. Have fun! :)

It IS hard. I don't know about everyone else but I have to take lots and lots of shots to get one that I think is ok. Now even when I think I've done ok, I take a dozen more. Many times it turns out that one of these last ones is the one I like.

Here's my eye //light-sponge.blogspot.com/2005/03/faces.html

I have 43 year old eyes and face so I tried to focus the attention off the face by going b&w with it.

Just keep taking more and more, one will make you happy I'll bet. good luck.

Thanks. Yep...It got better as I kept trying different things, but I didn't have the time to do a lot with the camera.

I have seen a couple other PaD'ers doing a theme and thought it might be a fun idea. Certainly it should help with the ideas! :)
