It says DQ'd and reason for DQ is "no text or copyright notice can be added to image"
But when I looked at this image I do not see any text, am I blind?

Lower left, very small and faint, if your contrast & brightness are a little off you probably can't see it, it's a copyright notice.

ah...the monitor I am on currently tends to be rather dark...
Now here's a question....what if someone photographed the photo with a photographer's name notice...would that be legal?
Say I cut-out of paper my name, laid it atop the background of the photo I was shooting so that it was actually "part" of the natural image. Would that be dq'd?

That would actually be legal if the writing was IN the original photograph. You just can't ADD writing to any photo submitted to the challenges. |

Hmm... that's a pretty borderline case, since it wouldn't strictly speaking break the 'no text' rule, but it might be deemed to be breaking the spirit of the rules (ie anonymous entries). However, even if it wasn't DQ'd, I would suspect that such an entry would be voted quite low by the voters (since they tend to be fickle about such things, IMO), so wouldn't recommend anyone try this one out :o)

Oh I agree....I was raised by cats and have a profuse tendency for curiosity...
