It's June 1st, the start of another thrilling hurricane season!
As a floridian, let me be the first to say let's not have any special "Kodak Moments" this year.

Cross your fingers...or move. Buy a generator? We certainly don't need any more trees to come down, but that problem is minor in comparison to what you folks in Florida have faced!

A lot of people from here on up the East Coast wish all the hurricanes would stop when they came to the end of Virginia. ;)

coolhar, I certainly didn't mean to exclude you from all the fun! Yes, Maryland, Mass, etc. gets their fair share too.
I say it's Nebraska's turn this year. |

| We've had a very poor showing this tornado season so maybe it will be the same for hurricanes. |

Ever since I was a kid and Hurricane Hazel (the storm, not the ballplayer) took down a tree in the yard next to our house I've thought hurricanes are exciting. Nowadays they seem to be at least a little exploited by media and merchants. I guess I want to exploit them too, for photo ops, lol. But you must always respect them and hope the death and destruction are at a minimum.
