| I just want to add that the "creature" in my shot is a chinchilla, the "granular subject" is the dust (they take dust baths, not water baths), and "it" is not dead! :) *Grin* |

Thanks idnic, I posted a few outtakes from various angles.
I must admit I had near an unhealthy consumation with this challenge. My living room smelt like pepper for 5 days.... *lol*

I don't mean to be unkind at all, but honestly I don't see how the red and yellow winners are these two shots. I think ANY of the other top 20 are better. Really. I just see so many better shots out there.

I can see the blue winner for sure, good actual, superb color/contrast and flesh tones, and captured the action very well.
I really liked the 2nd place winner's entry as well. Sure it's simple but it touched a nice spot inside.
The 3rd place is a much closer competition for sure with the next 10 or so... |

I didn't like the blown out highlights of the third place entry, but it was quite good. I was surprised at 2nd place, I found that shot extremely unappealing in terms of subject, which is why I chose not to vote on it. I though Gloda's entry was awesome, though, a well deserved 5th although maybe it should have placed higher. Fun challenge although there were a lot of DNMC doubts.
