Over the memorial day weekend I spent too much time in the sun, giving me a bit of sun poisoning. So I was stuck at home today. Then while I was sitting on my couch trying to get some sleep, I caught a glimps of a bright green speck running around my pool cage. It was a small green anole that was catching ants. Despite the pain I was in, I grabed my camera and tried to get some decent shots of the little sucker, but his hunger kept him moving around looking for more food. Anyhow, I managed to squeeze of this one shot I'm happy with.
I was wondering what you all think of it? Are there any improvements I could have made?
Note: The image is slightly croped, once I scaled the photo down to load on the web, it was 900px x ?px, so I cropped it to fit 640 x 480. This also got rid of a bit of unused frame space (sloppy shooting on my part I know, but a sunburn can really limit the way you move).

Decent capture. Nice pose and appears very well exposed.
Though they are all over the place out here in AZ I generally have a terrible time getting pictures of lizards in the wild, but for some strange reason three of the little buggers slipped up this Spring and let me get these shots:

I like that steve's lizards all apear in more natural surroundings... something I was lacking in my photo. I love those lizards. |

I actually found another one that is more or less pleasing, so here goes... I hope someone likes it.

I don't know how large that picture is but I'm on high speed and it took way to long to load. A link would be much better.

I like the way you split the frame in half. The selective focus is cool too. I like this one better than the first. It has more character.

I'm sorry, the photos are both under .1 mb (100 kb) in size and should load quickly, the problem is they are hosted on my own server at home, and I have a regular cable internet connection and I have several computers attached to it. Is it taking as long for everyone else?

We generally prefer thumbnails or text links to large photos posted right in the thread. |

I'll remember that for my future posts, I do like the thumbnails... however I'll most likely have to use a link for now. |

Funky bokeh near the lizard on the first shot. Caused by an insect screen?

Yeah that looked weird to me at first too. I was hoping it wasn't your lens! :) |
