I support this challenge suggestion. It would be fun to chose a saying and to capture it in an image.

In honor of my late father in law, who's birthday would have been today... "Here's to the game of toes, played in every town, girls play with toes up, and boys...with toes down!" That was his favorite toast...imagine the photos that would go with that;0) |

Any thoughts on how the challenge should be worded?
We have had a cliche challenge I think!
EDIT: No, we haven't had a cliche challenge.

How about something like.....
Create an image which follows the general intent, imagery or advice of a famous/favorite saying or quotation. The image title should reference the saying or quote.

I like it, and I would add: Please avoid unnecessary long titles.

And perhaps a reminder NOT to use any saying or quote that is used in your forum signature. :)

I would presume we don't want it to be quite that broad? This could cover ANY sort of quotation, including Shakespeare, song lyrics, anything. The OP was looking for a challenge based on established aphorisms: "A stitch in time saves nine", "Like finding a needle in a haystack", "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones", "where there's smoke there's fire", "time heals all wounds", stuff like that. These are collectively called "proverbs", or "folk wisdom".
How about "Proverbial Wisdom: Take an old saying such as "needle in a haystack" or "a stitch in time saves nine" and illustrate it creatively. Your title should reference the saying you are using."
I like it!
Robt.

ROTFL.... i gotcha....I couldn't figure out the toes up down for a moment. (I am actually quite the novice when it comes to the birds and the bees...though I do understand the latter being the inspiration for dominatrix's) |
