Got a question?

Is the camera sappose to make this much "noise". The when I change settings or when it is doing auto focus. Here can hear the "insides" working/moving.

My previous canon (S50) did not do this.

Is it normal, is it something I should be worried about?

I thought he meant the camera was making noises itself, not in the pictures itself?

ditto.

My Fuji made considerable noise when zooming optically.

I have the SD200, which is almost the same camera. It does make a lot of noise when the lens retracts. And when autofocusing it makes a noise like there's something loose moving around inside the camera. That is normal.

But when changing settings? Shouldn't make any noise when you do that. Unless you're referring to changing from Play mode to Camera (Record) mode. Sometimes when you do that, the lens retracts and it makes that same sound as it does when autofocusing. That's normal too.

examples:

1. when you press the button half way down to focus, and while it focusing right before the green boxes come on the screen.

2. when switchig between landscape (mountian) and close up (flower)

3. when switchig between the "photo setting" (auto, kids&pets, fireworks)

I just got back from the Target store and messed with their display camera and it does the same thing. (I bought mine online)
