| My photo keeps going down! I had a 5.7 and Ive slipped below the 5.5 mark! Im not saying its the best, but I think she (my photo) deserves better than that! Everyone re-evaluate their photo ratings please! J/K im happy with my first over 5 photo, thanks everyone! |

| same today. Mine has been steadily climbing the last couple days, and just tonight in a few votes it's fallen .14 with a really low average vote. Grumpy, grumpy people this weekend. Or my photo sucks. |

| There may be some yay-hoo out there just giving out one's to everybody.... dont forget you will have 200 to 300 votes when it is all said and done. Your score will reflect what most people thought of your photo. It all averages out. |

--odd people are saying it looks a bit OOF or shalow DOF when dust & crystals are smaller than the 640x? pixels -
i imagine many are getting the same comment

With all the macro shots of salt in this challenge I am surprised no one took shots of ice cubes.

| My particularly crappy shot has garnered such comments as.. What is it. I got a lot of those. Well, it was a bad idea for one. See, it is one of those... out of the box things. I swore them off and then fell off the wagon. Even I want to vote it down...what was I thinking! heh |

| I don't know why, but I am getting a kick out of this one. Am scoring my lowest ever..under 4!!! And yet I still like it...ahhh it makes me laugh...oh yah, 2 comments both positive...50 more and I will have caught scalvert! |

Yikes... Just 2 comments and 1 of them is blank! I guessed I had a 5 to 5.5 photo, so I can't be too unhappy!

My entry has had the weirdest roller coaster ride.
I started out at 4.7xxx after 18 votes or so...it's now at:
Votes: 268
Avg Vote: 5.6828
Hoping it goes over 5.7 so I will have had a full turnaround. Those 18 stingy voters *shakes fist* ;p

I'm a touch bummed, mine has dropped a full .2 points in the last day. It's still a solid 6.3 which is by far my best score by nearly a point.
It looked like it was going to break 6.5 for a while...but alas it has fallen a bit. It's still my personal best.

| My image too has fallen from 6.6 down to 6.4. And the strange thing is that I spend the closing hours to bump images up. Well, it goes to show that we pay for all oversights. |

Well.... I currently have 35 comments, and basically ALL positive...
:)
I had for a while thought i might have had a chance for a top 10 finish but after seeing the entries i realized it'd be really hard. Some very good traditional stuff (like the sand covered faces) and a fair handful of other creative shots. And a few macro shots that are just mind-blowing. |

I would like to think my macro shot is well done, all comments positive, but alas, scores have stayed around 5.6 all along and I fear they will end there.

I don't think that a Macro shot is going to win this one. I think a Macro show was too obvious of a choice. I took a macro shot that I was quite pleased with and it is currently at 4.8. I showed it to my wife and she said, "What is so great about that?" I still like it, but then, I love geologic formations and think there are lots of wonderful textures and shapes in nature. I think the winner is someone who got really creative. Probably as it should be.

| I was incredibly amused by my shot, and it's the LOWEST score I've ever had - possibly the lowest in the challenge, hahahah. Sorry, I just couldn't resist, though the shot was a bit beyond my skills as a photographer and my camera's abilities. I'm waiting to post this reply until after voting is over though, b/c based on my previous entries, I don't want to TOTALLY give away my shot. :) |
