While at the preserve yesterday I spotted a few damselflies. I spent a few hours chasing them around trying to get some decent shots (I hope no one was watching, I must have looked ridiculous). They were more difficult to shoot then I expected, and the pictures didn't come out as well I had hoped. Here's the best of the bunch. Any pointers from you macro-gurus would be appreciated.
 
 
They are seriously cropped. Resolution is ok for here, but other then the first one, I deffinately couldn't print them bigger then 4 X 6.

I can just see you running around to get these pictures! ;^) I was chasing some little yellow moths around the woods yesterday myself...
The biggest drawback I can see to these is the lighting. Appears to have been mid-day - sun overhead? If you could drop the exposure a notch or two and slightly underexpose it helps - better yet to be there at dusk or dawn if possible (then the damselflies may not have been out I know...).
Resolution and noise (lack of) are pretty good for being seriously cropped.
