Where do you find female models for nude photography? How much do they charge? What are the ethics, if any? |

Finding nude models is not any harder than finding dressed models...it all as to do with "who you are". If you don't have work that you can show a potential model, then you have to go to agencies, friends, family.

Have you tried the art and photography departments at the local college?
I have done nude modeling a couple of times. Once for an art class which I modeled in exchange for free admittance to the figure drawing group. Though, I think the other models were paid $30.00 an hour.
The photographer I modeled for found me, and all of his other models through word of mouth. A friend of mine introduced me to him and I traded my modeling for his photography lessons and use of his darkroom.
Put the word out to everyone you know. You'd be suprised how many people would be willing to do it in exchange for prints or some such trade. |

OneModelPlace
A very good site with lots of female and male models just looking for help with their portfolio.

I've often wondered how nude models were found. While I've never tried it, I've always had doubts about asking random people to pose in the buff for me... hmmm...

Perhaps you could try placing a posting on a bulletin board at some local colleges. Especially near departments that have a large amount of female students, such as nursing and education. If you don't have a portfolio to show them, offer free prints in exchange for a modeling session. |

One way to bring it up is to say something like "I'm looking to do two types of image, clothed and nude; would you be interested in either or both?" Before you start the session, discuss what will be worn and what type of shots you are trying to get.
It seems to work best by starting with a robe or drape and let them reveal more as they get comfortable. I think you will be suprised at how many people have little modesty and will just start out nude with no problem. I they don't seem comfortable, don't push it.
The most notable thing to me and the other models I knew was what we called "The Creep Factor". I guess that is self-explanatory. The second person I modeled for got touchy-feely and also started dating one of his models while he was still married.
Needless to say, I never modeled for him again.

Geez, I had all sorts of clever things to add here, but then I looked at Queanbeez's profile and saw under the heading "DISLIKES" the following: "perverted old men." So I guess I'll just stay quiet...

It's very intersting to see all these new web-agencies pop-up, Onemodelplace, Garageglamour and several others are basically in existence because of the fact som many people jumped on to Digital photography and have a hard time locating models. |

There are several websites for modeling that have many, many models willing to do semi-nude/nude modeling in exchange for images on cdrom or for prints. I have found several and never been out a single dime. You can also find a multitude of models for casual, swimwear, glamour, etc.... Just do some internet research.

You gotta question a post that asks this question.
"What are the ethics, if any?"
