I've lived in NYC all my life and had never been to Coney Island until today. The best part of it is that I bought a Sigma Macro 105mm this morning at BH and hopped on the F train with Brooklyn in mind to try it out. Last stop Coney Island.

All the shots were hand held, in a high breeze so excuse the lack of hyper sharpness. I left themacro lens on all day to see what it could do and was surprised how versatile it is.

I'm glad you liked the pix. I'll tell you it was a fine day to go out there too. The weather was perfect with a nice breeze. I combed the beach for sea stuff to shoot but there wasn't anything that made for good macro practice. I still took over 100 photo's of whatever and had great time.

It's Fleet Week here in town and I got this first pic just 4 seconds before these Sailor Gals kicked my butt. Tough bunch. There was this Carnival game on the boardwalk called Shoot The Freak....could only happen in Brooklyn.

I just noticed that you were in my neighborhood for Fleet Week. We've been overun by people dressed in white.

I'd like to hit the boats too but it's going to be a mess tomorrow.
