I have shot a panorama of Varanasi Ghats (in India)with my Canon S1 IS. The file size is 2500K approx. The Panorama refuses to open up in My Documents. I have tried to resize it in Photoshop using SFW command, but it takes too long to load the optimized image, and oops... the runtime error occurs!
Kindly help. This was my first Panorama!

So this is an in camera pano, not stiched together in post?

The camera has a Panorama mode. But the frames need stitching in the post processing, through Canon Software.

Maybe this will help you?

I don't believe the mode actually takes a panoramic shot. So much as sets it so that the colors and lighting end up the same in all shots that are shot during that set. Allowing for digital stitching.

Edit>Preferences>Memory&Image Cache>Increase the RAM %>Close PS and reopen

Make sure you are not running other programs because it eats up RAM when converting or opening a huge image.

My Pentium 2 computer would never be able to handle a panorama, or even a RAW file.

Thanks. The panorama opens up in Photoshop, but not in 'My Documents'. I want to take a print-out. While taking printout in Photoshop,it gives this message: 'Some Clipping will occur'. Please help. I am dumb at Computers.

This will happen with anything near or over the edge of printing boundaries. Make sure to have the image set at the size you can print..

i.e. if you have it as 9 inches wide you need to resize it down to 8.5 to fit on paper...

But even when I have something that I know will fit on the sheet of paper the way it should, photoshop gives me that message too. :-)

I am able to print only a part of the panorama. Had it been little clipping, I won't not have minded.
It opens in Photoshop, but not otherwise. Please help.
