Since KaDi mentioned this place existed, I had to go check it out. She was kind enough to supply directions.:) I promised her some pics so here is a few I have looked at so far. Still have 2 more cards to go through.

The place is pretty cool but I am a little early for the full bloom effect. Right now, maybe about 20% of the waterlilies are open. The grounds themselves are huge and you could honestly spend hours wandering around the marsh area. The sad part though is that somehow, people have managed to dump trash here. Not just a wrapper here and there but whole garbage bags full. Some people just don't care.

I did see a couple of herons, tons of frogs and a giant turtle but believe it or not, they were all faster than me. I really need to stick to plants!

Comments welcome. If I can find anything worth while in the rest of the 150 shots, I may enter their photo contest just for kicks.
