Seems a lot of people have confused "grain" with "granular". The images are good, just off-topic. I'm not sure how to score them.

grain
actually, grain is granular...granular is derived from the same root. In fact, the definition of granular "composed of granules or grain". So score them as having met the challenge - because they did. ;)

In the last update I got a single vote more...but ironically it was a vote for 10.0093
;)
Just thought it funny that with the precision of the values I have, in calculating that one vote and the discovery that I got a 10+ from the voter. *lol* Of course, I'm rusty when it comes to math so if anyone wants to double check the figures.

I've been raising up this morning too. I wonder how high the top 20 will be in this challenge. There are soome great shots but also a TON of the same ideas....piles of sugar, spoons with sugar, macro salt, sandy faces, etc. Unfortunately I'm one of those popular entries too! :))
Should be interesting results though.

In the end, a decent idea requires flawless execution to do well. But then, I already knew that and ignored the voice in my head that kept saying "Good Enough!"
Ah well. It's all fun & games.

and i havent gotten any votes since 3am! my score started at a 6.3 and has fallen pretty steady since thursday morning. but like i said b4..this is a personal fav so i know i have a good chance of getting the brown. 6 of the 7 comments dont know what the thing in the photo is so after voting is over i will tell everyone what it is and how rare it is to get one. :o)

hmm....
I wonder if it is me......
there was one shot that was blurry, and unclear as to what was in it. And I voted it a 1. Hoping it wasn't you. But this shot I couldn't make out much detail nor was the quality of the shot very good. And composition was unclear. |

You know, I vote & then go back later in the week & move 'em around (usually higher) I never vote with a 10 in my first go around- let it sink in first :0)

im bursting at the seams here dying to tell my commenters what it is in my photo.so far only one commenter has known what it is and no one thinks its real! i wish people would take the time to look at my photo and see the relationship of my subject too.
