How about some more down-to-earth, non touchy-feely challenge subjects? For example:-
-Stairs and steps
-Worm's eye view: ground-level shots
-Pop art
-Physical enclosure: walls, fences, wires etc.
-Diagonals
-Weather/climate
-Half of the whole
-Steel
-Triptych illustrating the passage of time
-At one with the Universe and all its manifold Wonders, whilst cradling a delicate flower in one hand and a cooing baby in the other.
[OK, maybe not this one ;-)]
Please add any other suggestions below. Ben

Agreed! Maybe I'm a little narrow minded or just lack imagination, but some of these recent challenges seem a little bit 'far out'. "Photograph a decision"?!?!? How about subjects like:
Fences & Gates (Again, there is no lack of them for anyone)
Vehicles (Yup, there's lots of those for everyone to shoot)
Trains (Now there's a challenge that could produce some awesome shots)
Children (Everyone has some of them around)
...and list goes on. Anyone else with some "real ideas"?

"Photograph a decision" almost everything you do in a decision.

Yes...which leaves this sooooooooo wide open, it will be difficult to score on a subject basis. It will be one of those challenges that will be based on interest, and quality of the photo and not really too much on the subject of the challenge.
More ideas include:
- Bricks
- Hair (Almost everybody has some)
- Passageways
- Wheels
- Books
....and the list goes on and on and on and...

I like the thrust of this. Out of self-interest I would add-
Team Sports- (with players this time)
Candids- (of children maybe?)
Landscapes-, Sunsets & Sunrises-, Birds- they seem to show up in numbers in lots of challenges. Give them their own showcase.

you all will probably think this idea is stupid but i have been thinking of a fun challenge i would like to photograph. i call it "you might be a redneck if"..."take a photo of the stupid or funny things people do". in my profile(yahoo) i have a photo of a brand new $15,000 motorcycle. he used his muffler to clamp off his water hose while washing his car. i found this hilarious and had to photograph it. what do you all think of this idea?

I could get a photo of me and my neighbor drag racing our riding lawn mowers. Yes we have done it before.
