You asked for it. Just happened to have a few in my portfolio, lol.
Straight from the camera:
And these two are straight from the camera except for a small amount of sharpening to compensate for what is lost in downsizing, however they wouldn't look too bad without it because it was a pretty sharp lens. And I could have upped the in-camera sharpening (it was set at the mid-low setting, or 2 on a scale of 1-5).
 
I'm not saying these are ribboners, but they don't fit with moodville's description either.

Good examples of decent out-of-camera images that obviously would be MUCH better after post-processing.
Post-processing can only make bad images tolerable, but can make a good image great and make a great image into a ribbon winner.
Why would anyone want to submit a half-done photograph?
