I have a few serious lenses so I feel it's time to get a fun one. I have been thinking about getting a lens baby for a while but now I stumbled upon another that could be fun too, a russian made manual focus 8mm fisheye. They both go for about the same price and I really can't decide which one to get. If it was you, which one would you pick and why?

Can you provide links to both for more information?

I'd get bored of the lens baby in about 10 minutes ... but I own the Peleng 8mm and let me tell you ... it's freakin awesome. A whole new world opens up to you. Plus, it can be defished if needed.

I have a 15mm fisheye lens and love it... I tried the 8mm lens but it was to circular... But since you want to have fun why not the 8mm...
In my opinion i don't really see any fun on the baby lens, or any use on it... But this is just my opinion...
I would go with the fisheye lens.

Definitely the Peleng. I've had this lens for over a year, and the biggest problem is keeping your feet out of the frame. Literally!
A highly recommended lens.
BTW, you'll want an extra Canon back cap to protect the rear element in storage, since you'll want to leave the EOS adapter on the lens. Also, the front cap is friction fit, like the Canon fisheye, and falls off easily. I use a rubber band to ensure it stays on when in the bag.

Hmm... why do you want a lensbaby if you've already got a Holga? :o) Go for the Peleng, great fun lens that.

Because I can shoot digital with the lensbaby? I really can't be bothered with film lately.

Well, I just bought the Peleng lens....I hope I made the right choice....if I didn't then I'll just blame it on Manic.
