Help!

I dunno what it is but I think I'm losing it, weeks are just passing by and I'm not entering challenges! I want to, I have the ideas, I just never seem to actually do it!

Are there any others that are like me?

How do I restart that fire?

It's got so bad that I don't even miss the update button anymore :(

Help!

hmmm, I've had the opposite problem lately - too much time on here, not enough on studying!

If it's that bad, you can give me than nice camera of yours - I'm only trying to help! :) Seriously, just get out there and shoot. I can get in a rut sometimes too. When that happens, I force myself to set some time aside (at least an afternoon) and go shoot. It's best to go somewhere you haven't done much shooting at, but you know there will be alot of interesting stuff (a river walk, park, nature trail, city, etc..). So go out there and have fun!! :)

I have not submitted for quite some time now and it stems from the fact that I got tired of getting poor scores and not receiving any comments. That factor coupled with the fact that I know nothing about post processing led me to believe that it would be best if I learned the basic elements of PhotoShop before venturing forth with a new submission.

I still love reviewing the submission and scoring and have voted on every single photo submitted in each of the challenges with the exception of one. I truly enjoy the threads and the exchange of information.... the challenges can wait.

I haven't entered very many challenges either. I have some ideas but nothing that was high scoring quality. I got tired of not entering so last minute I entered a sloppy shot for the apple and I shouldn't have because it just makes my numbers more depressing. I am stuck with a weak camera and weak ideas!

As rayq544 said -"just get out there and shoot". Find something you like for the Beauty challenge.

I posed a similar question here:
Bored with your shooting style? Share your stories and Konador killed it...

(just kidding Ben...)

I know what you mean.

I remember when I was a kid and listened to the oldr ones saying the "times passes very quickly". And I remember thinking that was a stupidity. The summer vacations seemed never to arrive. But know the sensation that I have is that time flyes.

I usually see an challenge that I want to enter and start imagening what to do with the theme, and when I get back to see what it was all about again... It was gone two weeks ago!

I'm sleeping 4-5hours per day and I think I still don't have the time that I want to spare with photography. Good greef! When will they start making clones? I want at least 2 of myself. 1 for my job, one for a second job, and I'm going on photgraphic vacations all year!

But Brad why did you not post a 'bump' - are you not aware that 'bump' originates from 'Ben Upset My Posting'?

Heheheh
I looked at the number of views of that thread (103) and wrote it off as no interest or useful info to add to it.

my last challenge was jewelry advertisement, i'd like to enter but most of these challenges are too involved for me right now since i dont have the right equipment to create a great shot.

Same here. I haven't done a challenge in over a month, and finally foced myself to do it. Like you, I had plenty of ideas for other challenges, but was too lazy or something. I was enjoying doing my own thing though, but seriously missed that update button addiction.

Plenty of ribbon winners would be glad to trade you. ;-)

Make yourself do it- even if you think everything sucks. What better way do we learn?

No, way gurrl-friend. Your camera is fine, your shots are good. You must be down, blue or have the blaaahs~! Could the season change affecting some peoples moods. No worries you'll be back. Just take a break, come at it all again with a new mind set.

I just realized that I've only entered 3 of the past 19 challenges! Sure, I've been busy with work and family, but I obviously need to get my priorities straight...

I was looking through your portfolio Colda and you just cannot stop taking pictures, I love the "past contest" photos and they are absolutely great! What I like mostly about them is there is a lot of thought and nicely done preparation for each shot...now get your self into gear and go out and smell the Spring, you're in Switzerland for heaven's sake!

I've been in that same position for a while. It kind of sucks.

Weak Camera? Look at the last few challenges. One that comes to mind is moods. Look at the blue ribbon winner. wasn't it like a 1.4mp camera?
