I know, it's been a while, hasn't it?
It's partly because I've been really busy with school and heinous homework, but also in part because I've been lacking inspiration, and I've had a rather painful string of poor-to-mediocre scores.
So anyways, today I decided to just go for it, and I drove to a park (not Scioto Park, but another one in Dublin: Coffman park). I had been researching on the website, and I found that Coffman Park, which is on the other side of the river almost opposite of Scioto Park where Leatherlips is, also has an installation of the "Art in Public Places" series done by Dublin, which Leatherlips is a part of. The installation in Coffman park is called "Watch House," a bronze building built on top of a hopewell indian mound. So I got to the park and walked all around, taking some pictures of geese and ducks and stuff, but to no avail, I did not find it. So as I was leaving defeated, I noticed this bronze building on top of an indian mound, right beside the entrance. I pulled a quick U-ey on Post Rd. and parked and went and took pictures.
So here are five pictures I took. I'd forgotten how much I like photography. Please leave feedback, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot guys, this site has really helped me grow.
James

Welcome back.
So, what's the installation used for? It looks like you could have a tea party there or something...

Heh, I dunno its purpose, to be honest. Dublin is one of those "artsy" communities, so I think its just there to be there, and be art or something. But I do suspect you could very well have a tea party. I might try that sometime. |

Left you a few brief comments - your joy really came through on these. I like that a lot.

My wife's parents are from Dublin.... wierd... cool pics though, I've been trying to get good gosling pics, but the parents are too protective to let me get close enough with my little cam.....
this is the best one I've gotten so far.

Ah--the joys of a 300mm zoom lens :)
I'm not actually from Dublin, just north of it: Powell. But close enough; I used to live and go to school in Dublin, now I do both in Powell.
Thanks for the feedback! Any other comments? |
