Ir definitely works printed out; stuff like this has been showing up in books for what, 4 decades at least. Ever since op-art came into prominence, wheenver that was. Cool image!

(actually, posted this somewhere else in rebuttle to a teenager who wanted to try psychedlic drugs. i encouraged him not too, and if he really needed to trip stuff like this was a lot cheaper and safer)

That made me think of those pictures back in the early 90's that you had to stare at a point on the picture and then you would see a 3D rending of an image. From a distance they looked like a bundle of dots. I can't remember the name of them.Do you know what pictures I'm talking about? I was wondering if there is a software or PS plug in to make an image like that.

If you mean computer wallpaper, just download it and stick it in your windows file.

I have somewhere software that would allow you to make the MagicEye pictures, it came with a book telling how they work and how to create them. Basically every color sits at a different level then the program would covert it to the magiceye picture. I was never very good at making any but it was fun to try. They may still have it out there somewhere. Good luck

Wow!! I've seen a lot of illusions similar to that, but this is the most incredible one I've ever seen. No matter how long I look at it, I can't make the whole thing stand still. Mind boggling.

It is great fun for infants -- lots of moving color to stimulate optic nerves with no moving parts to wear, break or need batteries. Just print poster sized and hang above their bed or playpen. ;)

Check out the Stereogram Explorer at //www.aloej.com . It supports 3DS models and bump maps (.bmp files where bright= foreground, dark= background. Easy to create in photoshop!).
