I think that it is a fundamental of quantum physics that it is impossible to know whether the photon is good or bad, and whether it is stopped by any particular filter (at least in the dimension of the multiverse that you occupy) cannot be determined until the photon has been "fixed". The only method of determining whether the photon has been fixed in a "good" or a "bad" state is by human observation and interaction (having the humans select an arbitrary quantity for the photon quality through use of a 1-10 scoring system might just work).

OK Matthew I think you killed THAT thread!!!!!! LOL

No, not killed . . . we are just all working on translating that one into Latin . . LOL

I hate to tellyou this Kylie but he writes Latin too!! (I'm not kidding!!)

I suppose he types 80 wpm, too! I officially hate him.

I think you may be on to something here! Whether light behaves like a wave or like a particle depends on how the light is observed, right? Perhaps the âgoodnessâ state of a âfixedâ photon, or a group thereof, also depends on how they are observed. Your 1-10 human scoring idea may provide a useful rough scale for judging such phenomena, at least until you work out an equation for it. Maybe you could call it, âlegalbeagleâs first law of quantum electrodynamics.â Or maybe, âThe phenomena of goodness of electrically charged particles.â

I think that I prefer the idea of a first law. But really ought to be the first law of DPC. Or eiusdem quod DPC legere potest (in my bad, drunk semi-latinate script).

Welcome to dpc and Good Luck with your challenges entries.

Dont worry about your camera. It is far better than my first camera that I used on here and I still managed to get two scores in the 6's with. Just try your best and use yoru imagination to produce the photos that you want to produce.
