Already asked on a member's list, but thought I'd ask for some critiques from the general public as well. Went out to shoot some flowers today. Any thoughts, comments, or critiques on these three? I'm thinking about doing prints if people think they would be ok...eek!

Nice macro shots :)
The two of the white flowers seem over-neat-imaged... how much did you do in post processing? I find a lot of photos look nice with as little done to them as possible...
The first one would make an excellent print with a nice looking frame (the sharpening might look a little softer/better in print). |

For me, the first is the best, then the third. #2 doesn't appeal to me,it lacks details on the flower(white part).I agree with MadMan2k as for the processing.

Guess I could have included post processing info :-)
I did reduce the noise on all of them, using presets for 100ISO on my camera model...so not TOO much..but point taken :-)
Other than that, the only thing I touched was the levels.
I agree that there isn't tons of detail on the calla lilly...but it just happened to be an incredibly smooth flower! Do you think that some dodge and burn might help? |

hmmm....perhaps lack of interest should tell me to try again....
well, it's my day off, so no bother! :-) |

I adore the uniqueness of the first one, and the details are fascinating. I would try a less centered composition on the third one as another way of approaching it. I, for one, think that first one would make a spectacular print.
Edit: I like that same image in your portfolio that has been rotated to the horizontal, also. Maybe even better. Both look great.

It always helps the commenter/viewer if you post your editing and other details in the photographer's comments section.

Does anyone else see the profile view of someones face on the top right lilly pad of photo#3?
I agree with everyone. The first photo stands out the most. More than likely its that nice purple catching my eye.

Hehe true. I tend to over observe photos. See things that usualy most people don't pick up at first glance. :)

This is weird . . . I don't see yours at all, but I can see other people's. I don't know much about Star Wars, but I see that this is a Star Wars thing?
