Helpful and more realistic than my trolling. :) Ten years from now our film cameras will still produce great prints. Ten years from now, the latest digital camera will look like a disposable from the supermarket.

Ten years from now you will have a hard time finding film for your 35mm; and it will cost you plenty. |
let alone finding a shop that will develop your color film.

Another advantage with digital..... You don't have to send your original image to a client and hope that they return it. Just cpoy it and send them the copy (with film a dupe or non pro scan is never as good as the original). |

It amazes me how these cards just keep on going. |

If your goal is to be "cool", then by all means shoot film.
If, on the other hand, your goal is to create great images that you love, you might want to consider the advantages of digital. Not to take anything away from film (it's a great medium), but film snobs (i.e. people that shoot film because they think it's cool) really bug the crap out of me. |

there is no way you can EVER compare the cost of digital to the cost of film. The last time I calculated how much money I have SAVED by switching to digital, I was over $3000, including the cost of my equipment! Film is more expensive if your anything more than a snapshot shooter.
film is nice and fun to play with, but cheap?

But I am NIKON with a MAC! Wonder what that says about me. Always arguing one or the other. hehehehe
