From the exif of one of my photo. Camera 350D flash EF 500 DG super

Flash:
Fired: True
Return: 0
Mode: 1
Function: false
Redeye mode: false

I understand that the fired and I did not turned on the red eye reduction function. I don't understand return: 0, Mode: 1 and function :false. I need some help understanding these.

I interpret it to mean the camera failed to function and the image is gone, never to return. But I've been wrong about these things before. ;-)

I would guess at the fact thate Function: false means you were not using any aux/custom functions. Return, I am not sure...maybe this is something that is involved in master/slave function and whether communication was returned? or some metering...

Mode: 1 is probably auto-
