Inspired by the ever-present outtakes threads - this would be like the Deja Vu challenge, but allow people to redo their own entry for any challenge they previously entered.

hmmm, that would blow the anonymity thing though. I was just thinking you would title it with the name of the challenge you were "Redoing"
Maybe another requirement would be that you have to redo one that scored below the 50 percentile.

Something to stop people from entering previous ribbon winners, I presume? If not, I could see multiple blues with minor adjustments competing with each other.
Would the objective be "most improved" or "best reworked" or both?

There are a lot of well known photos that people would recognize anyway, so if it is the same person re-doing their own work, their goes the majority of anonymity anyway.
I first thought that I'd like to see the before and after pics later on, for curiosity and learning's sake, but displaying both during the challenge might help prevent the problem that rgo pointed out.
The 50 percentile rule is good, too! But what about our heros that don't even GET that low?
Hey, how about redoing our very lowest?

Well, cloudhair, although I am a huge fan of strongbad and HSR, I would have to say that I didn't think about it, but it could have been subliminal.

My thinking was that it would be a completely different concept than that originally submitted - not a do-over of the same shot. Sounds like the idea has already breeched the complexity threshold. :(

Oh my.... that sounds like hard work!
Sometimes my brain goes into overload having to come up with ONE idea for a challenge, now you want a SECOND one?
Then again.... we could pick WHICH challenge to re-do, so that should help. |

I almost always come up with several and then can't decide which is best. Then I let my wife pick and I blame her for the low score. ;-)
