Sorry, Arty; it's not crappy enough for a crappy photo thread. It's actually a pretty decent shot, all in all.. Love the hair streaking btw.

Probably the best compliment I've gotten in months. I'll have to screw up more. :)

I'm going to come out of my hole and post these:

- It's a crappy shot because of the blurriness, but it actually looks alright.

- A quickly done handheld macro shot of a pocketknife I bought, looks nice somehow.

- That was a shot of our cat, who was resting underneath the porch, and I took the shot between two of the steps, zoomed in, and managed to get the cat in focus and not blurred - somehow.

Hey, I laugh every time I look at the squirrel photot, too. Put an "inspirational" quote with it and sell it as a poster...

It reminds me of the Woody Allen film, Deconstructing Harry, in which one of the characters is out of focus. Maybe your squirrel's name is Harry.

Found this guy on the porch of my office - scared the crap out of me! I scared him too - he climbed up on the roof (metal) and became frantic. I ran in the office and grabbed my camera. I hadn't had the camera long and usually kept it in auto mode, but had been playing with manual and long shutter speeds and didn't realize it when I snapped about a dozen pics of this guy. All crappy! This was the best of the bunch when I finally coerced him to come down...

Images fixed (thumbnails now). Got used to other forums where no one cares about 56k users... hehe

Thanks MadMan!

It's not so much the speed (I have cable), it's the size in the forum that you have to scroll horizontally and just takes up much space. :)

I shouldn't have singled anyone out. I appreciate all the kind words. I'm used to feeling like people are laughing at me not with me. Truly a pleasant change.

well, here's my contribution. When I went back to Australia for Christmas/New Year, I found a colourful umbrella in the garage, so I thought I'd try the same as I'd done for the Yellow Revisited challenge, but with a better camera. It was really windy, but the umbrella was broken anyway.
